Nestled in the Central West of New South Wales, Ben Bullen is a tranquil mountain village along the Castlereagh Highway, situated between Cullen Bullen and Capertee. Established in the early 1880s with the construction of the railway, the village's name derives from the local Aboriginal term meaning "high, quiet place." Today, it boasts a population of approximately 100 residents. Surrounded by picturesque cattle grazing lands and the Gardens of Stone National Park, Ben Bullen offers a serene environment for both residents and visitors. The area is also known for its rich history, including the heritage-listed Ben Bullen railway station, which operated from 1882 until its closure in 1974.
