Ben's Walk

Ben's Walk is a scenic 5.5-kilometer loop around the Shoalhaven River, starting at the Nowra Showground. The trail meanders through gorges, forests, and grassy shores, offering picturesque views of the river and mountains. A suspension bridge crosses the river, providing access to Depot Farm Reserve and its picnic area. The walk is named after Ernest "Ben" Walsh, who initiated its construction during the Great Depression to employ local men. The track is easy grade, with many steps and flat sections, and takes around two hours to complete.
