
The Bellenden Ker Range, also known as the Wooroonooran Range, is a coastal mountain range in Far North Queensland, Australia. Part of the Great Dividing Range, it extends between Gordonvale and Babinda. The range encompasses Queensland's two highest mountains: Mount Bartle Frere (1,622 meters) and Mount Bellenden Ker (1,593 meters). The area is renowned for its lush rainforests, diverse wildlife, and numerous waterfalls, including Josephine Falls and Tchupala Falls. Designated as Wooroonooran National Park, the range is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, offering opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and experiencing the rich biodiversity of the region.
