Housed in a historic 1858 building, the Bega Pioneers' Museum showcases the rich history of Bega and its surrounding districts. Managed by the Bega Valley Historical Society, the museum's extensive collection spans from pre-settlement times to the present, featuring exhibits on domestic life, education, farming, local families, military service, recreation, religious life, and working life. Highlights include over 200 framed photographs of pioneers, a horse-drawn ambulance, and a comprehensive militaria collection from the Boer War, World War I, and World War II. The museum also offers research facilities for family history and local history enthusiasts. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with additional hours by appointment. Entrance fees are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and pensioners, and free for children under 12.
