Nestled in the southern Flinders Ranges, Beetaloo Reservoir offers a serene retreat just east of Port Pirie. Managed by the Department for Environment and Water, the area invites visitors to enjoy wildlife and birdwatching, picnicking, and barbecuing with available facilities. Fishing enthusiasts can cast their lines for Golden Perch, Silver Perch, and Murray Cod, provided they hold an approved permit. The reservoir is accessible 24 hours a day from May 1 to November 1; outside these dates, and on Total Fire Ban Days, it remains closed. Dogs are not permitted, except for assistance animals.
