Beaumont House, built in 1849, was home to the first Anglican Bishop of Adelaide, Augustus Short, and later to Sir Samuel Davenport, a politician and horticulturist. The house features a distinctive Mediterranean character with an open brickwork parapet in soft terracotta colors and a central flat roof. Managed by the National Trust of South Australia, it offers guided tours on the first Sunday of each month (except January) from 2 pm to 4:30 pm, including afternoon tea. The stunning gardens, including a heritage-listed olive grove, are available for weddings and events.
