Batchfire Callide Management Pty Ltd operates the Callide Mine, an open-cut coal mining operation in Queensland's Callide Basin. Since 1944, the mine has produced ultra-low sulfur, low-fugitive emission energy coal, supplying approximately 11 million tonnes annually for domestic power generation, alumina refining, and export to Asia. The mine spans 16,000 hectares with an estimated coal resource of up to 1.07 billion tonnes. Batchfire is committed to environmental responsibility, aiming for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, and supports the local community by employing around 700 full-time staff, with 85% residing within the Callide Valley.
