Established in 1887, the Barron River Hotel is one of Cairns' oldest establishments, originally serving as a lodging house for timber workers. In 1927, it was transformed into a hotel by the Tully family. The venue boasts a rich history, with a verandah overlooking the old timber mill and the Kuranda Railway, which passes daily, bustling with tourists.
