Nestled in the eastern part of Baroota, South Australia, Baroota Reservoir is a historic water storage facility completed in 1921. Originally constructed to supply additional water to Port Pirie, it now serves as an emergency water source and provides a small amount of irrigation. The reservoir is situated on Baroota Creek, approximately 29 kilometers northeast of Port Pirie, within the southern Flinders Ranges. While it no longer supplies drinking water, it remains a significant feature in the region's water infrastructure.
