Nestled along the west coast of Yorke Peninsula, Barkers Rocks Bush Campground offers a secluded retreat approximately 13 kilometers from Minlaton. Accessible via Bluff Road, Rickaby Road, and Barkers Rocks Road, the campground features two distinct areas: - **Left Fork**: Provides a few sites sharing a day-use area with steps leading directly to the beach. This section is ideal for strictly self-contained campers. - **Right Fork**: Leads to a more secluded camping area equipped with a toilet facility. While the toilet is available, self-contained camping is still recommended. The campground is pet-friendly, allowing dogs under effective control. Please note that there is limited to no mobile phone reception, so it's advisable to book your campsite prior to arrival. The closest bin bank is located in Minlaton, and the nearest dump point is at the Minlaton Oval. Minlaton offers various facilities, including a supermarket, pharmacy, hotel, petrol station, police station, ATMs, and more. Camping permits are required and can be obtained online or by contacting the Yorke Peninsula Council. Please ensure you have your own water, firewood, and toilet paper, as facilities are basic. Campfires are permitted outside of the fire danger season, provided a four-meter clearance is maintained. Strictly no fires are to be lit during a total fire ban.
