Bar Rock Lookout

Perched on Bar Rock Road in Narooma, Bar Rock Lookout offers breathtaking ocean vistas over the breakwalls and Montague Island. The lookout provides panoramic views of Bar Beach and the Wagonga Inlet, showcasing a stunning palette of blues and greens. A steep staircase descends to the southern breakwall, leading to Australia Rock—a natural formation with a hole resembling the Australian continent. This geological feature is part of the Narooma Accretionary Complex and Chevron Folds, formed by the Pacific Plate's collision with the land. The area is also known for its rich marine life, including seals and migrating whales.
