Nestled in the heart of the Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park, Balcanoona serves as the park's headquarters and a gateway to its rugged beauty. This remote outpost offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the park's deep gorges, towering mountains, and unique freshwater springs. Accommodations include the Shearers Quarters, a restored building featuring a communal kitchen, lounge area, and nine bedrooms, accommodating up to 19 guests. The area is rich in cultural significance, forming part of the traditional country of the Adnyamathanha people. Balcanoona's isolation provides a serene environment for exploration and relaxation.
