Bagot's Fortune, a magnificent Northern French Romanesque building constructed in 1866 as a Baptist Church, now houses an extensive collection showcasing Kapunda's agricultural, industrial, and transport history. Managed by the Kapunda Historical Society Inc., the museum features exhibits such as a 20"x12"x24" stroke cross-compound steam engine from Wadlow's Timber Mill, an Albion Press that printed the first "Kapunda Herald" in 1864, and a mineral collection from the Kapunda School of Mines. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, educational programs, and wheelchair access. Open daily from 1 pm to 4 pm, with extended hours on weekends and public holidays during June to August.
