Nestled on the shores of Upper Spencer Gulf, the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden spans over 250 hectares, offering a diverse collection of arid zone habitats. Established in 1993 and officially opened in 1996, the garden showcases Australia's unique low-rainfall flora, including an extensive collection of Eremophila species. Visitors can explore walking tracks with stunning views of the Flinders Ranges, enjoy birdwatching with over 150 native species, and experience the Arid Explorer's Children's Garden. The Visitor Centre features the Bluebush Café, offering native-inspired dishes, and a gift shop with Australian-made products. Open daily from 7:30 am to sunset, entry is free, with donation boxes available.
