The Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden, located on the shores of Upper Spencer Gulf with views of the Flinders Ranges, showcases a diverse collection of arid zone habitats across more than 250 hectares. Visitors can explore four specially marked walking tracks, including the Red Cliff Walk, which offers spectacular views of Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges from stunning red cliff tops. The garden is home to over 140 species of native birds and features two bird hides. The award-winning AridSmart Display Gardens demonstrate water-wise gardening techniques, and the Arid Explorer Children’s Garden provides a fenced nature play area. The Bluebush Café offers native-food inspired dishes, and the Gift Shop sells unique Australian-made souvenirs and water-wise AridSmart plants grown on-site. The garden is open daily from 7:30 am until sunset.
