Designed by New South Wales Government Architect Walter Liberty Vernon, the structure features brick, Sydney sandstone, and timber materials, complemented by a terracotta tile roof. The building includes a single-storey colonnade with large stone piers and square half-columns set at 45 degrees, as well as special moulded bricks on the numerous arches and horizontal bands that continue the line of the stone window sills. This post office has been in continuous operation since its completion, serving the local community with a range of postal services.
