
Arkaroo Rock, also known as Akurra Adnya, is a significant cultural site within the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, South Australia. This rock shelter features ancient Aboriginal paintings created with ochre and charcoal, depicting the Yura Muda (creation story) of Ikara (Wilpena Pound). The 3-kilometre round-trip trail to the site offers stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges and is a moderate walk suitable for most visitors. The area is currently closed for upgrades until October 2025.
