Established in 1928, the Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to beach safety and surf lifesaving. With over 400 members, including more than 100 active volunteers, the club patrols Alma Bay on Magnetic Island every full weekend and public holiday during the season. The club offers a Junior Activities (Nippers) program for children aged 5 to 13, teaching surf safety and introducing them to surf sports in a fun environment. Additionally, a Cadet program for teens aged 14 to 18 engages them in surf lifesaving through activities and training. The club also provides training for members, including surf lifesaving courses and first aid certifications.
