Arc-en-Ciel Trout Farm & Nundle Smokehouse & The Drunken Trout Cafe

Nestled in the serene hills of Hanging Rock, Arc-en-Ciel Trout Farm offers a tranquil retreat just 20 minutes from Nundle. Established in 2006, the farm produces award-winning trout and a variety of smoked meats, including chicken, duck, beef, and venison. The on-site Nundle Smokehouse crafts these delicacies, earning multiple gold medals at the Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards. The Drunken Trout Café, opened in 2019, provides a unique dining experience with indoor seating for 30 and an additional 20 on the veranda and garden deck. Open for Sunday lunches from 12 noon, the café offers a menu featuring their signature smoked trout and other gourmet dishes. Weekday visits are available for groups of 12 or more with prior booking. Farm-gate sales are open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Guided farm tours are available on weekdays at 11:00 am by appointment.
