Apex Park

Apex Park, located at the entrance of Kingston SE, offers a welcoming space for relaxation and recreation. The park features electric BBQs, public toilets, and children's play equipment, making it ideal for family outings. Adjacent to the park is the Kingston Skate Park, catering to skating enthusiasts. A notable monument within the park is a 6-foot high blue-grey Karataphyre quartz rock, weighing approximately five tonnes, quarried from the late Mr. Peter Vandepeer's Keilira property. This monument commemorates the ill-fated passengers and crew of the Brigantine 'Maria,' which was wrecked off Cape Jaffa in 1840. The Maria Creek takes its name from this tragedy.
