
Anna Creek Station, located 160 km east of Coober Pedy and 16 km west of William Creek along the Coober Pedy Road, spans 15,746 square kilometres. Established in 1863, it transitioned from sheep to cattle due to dingo attacks. The station's diverse landscape features sand hill country, swamps, and extensive gibber tablelands. Managed by Matthew Williams, it operates breeding and fattening programs, supporting a herd of 17,000 cattle. The area receives an annual rainfall of 140 mm.
