Angelo River, WA

Angelo River, located in Western Australia's Pilbara region, is a 202-kilometer river originating in the Ophthalmia Range. It flows southward, then eastward near the Kundering Range, passing the Angelo River Mine and a uranium deposit, before merging with the Ashburton River. The river is named after Colonel Fox Angelo, a government resident in Roebourne during the late 19th century. The area is rich in Aboriginal heritage, with the Ngarlawongga and Banjima peoples having Dreamtime songs associated with the river's origins.
