Nestled in Rutherglen's traditional Buckshot clay soil, Anderson Winery is a family-owned establishment renowned for its estate-grown, handcrafted wines. Founded in 1993 by Howard Anderson, a seasoned winemaker with over 30 years of experience, the winery specializes in full-bodied reds like Durif and Petit Verdot, as well as traditional sparkling wines. The nine-hectare, non-irrigated vineyard yields intensely flavored grapes, and the winery employs traditional methods such as hand harvesting and basket pressing. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings at the cellar door, open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
