
Amber is a rural locality in Queensland's Shire of Mareeba, characterized by undulating terrain and several notable mountains, including Amber Pinnacle and Mount McDevitt. The area is primarily used for grazing on native vegetation. The Lynd River forms a small part of its southern boundary. As of the latest census, Amber has a very low population, with no people recorded in the area. The locality is bordered by Crystalbrook to the north and east, Barwidgi to the east, and Fossilbrook to the south.
