Nestled in the picturesque Snowy Mountains, Adaminaby Racecourse offers a unique blend of rustic charm and rich history. Established over 150 years ago, the racecourse relocated to its current site on Bobeyan Road following the construction of the Snowy Mountains Scheme. It has since become a cherished venue for the annual Adaminaby Cup Race Day, typically held on the second weekend in November. This event features the Snow Goose Cup, fashions of the field, and family-friendly activities, including food stalls and a jumping castle. The racecourse also gained fame as the filming location for Phar Lap's last race in the 1983 movie.
