Aboriginal Burial Grounds

The Aboriginal Burial Grounds in Normanton, Queensland, are sacred sites along the northeast side of the Norman River, reflecting the deep cultural heritage of the area's Indigenous tribes. These grounds are not open to the public, underscoring their significance and the respect they command within the community. The region's rich Aboriginal history is also honored at the Normanton Cemetery, which has been serving the community since at least 1870.
