Established in 1908, the 1st City of Camberwell (Melba's Own) Scout Group is among Australia's oldest Scout groups. In 1912, Dame Nellie Melba became its patron, inspiring the group's name. The group offers programs for various age groups: - Joeys (5-7 years): Monday 5:45pm-6:45pm - Cubs (8-10 years): Monday 7pm-8:30pm - Scouts (11-14 years): Wednesday 7pm-9pm - Venturers (15-17 years): Wednesday 8pm-9pm - Rovers (18-26 years): Monday 8pm-10pm The group celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2008 and its 110th in 2018. With a dedicated leadership team and active Group Support Committee, they provide engaging programs that foster adventure, friendship, and personal growth.
