Wuruma Dam, located on the Nogo River in Queensland's North Burnett Region, serves as a vital water source for Eidsvold, Mundubbera, and Gayndah. Completed in 1968, the dam boasts a capacity of 165,400 megalitres, creating Lake Wuruma with a surface area of 1,639 hectares. The area offers free camping with 40 designated sites, each accommodating tents, camper trailers, and caravans. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, and sailing, with the dam stocked with Australian bass, barramundi, golden perch, and silver perch. Camping is free, with stays limited to a maximum of three weeks within any four-week period. Amenities include flushing toilets, picnic tables, and shelters. Pets are permitted on leashes, and open fires are strictly prohibited. The nearest towns for supplies are Eidsvold and Monto, approximately 40 kilometers away.
