Woodford Academy, nestled in the Blue Mountains, is the region's oldest colonial building complex, with a rich history dating back to the 1830s. Originally established as an inn, it has also served as a gentleman's residence, guest house, boarding school, and, from 1907 to 1936, as Woodford Academy under John McManamey. Today, it operates as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into colonial life through its original sandstone architecture, historic rooms, and diverse past. Notably, a rare 17th-century Dutch Master painting was discovered in its collection in 2022.
