West Point, also known as The Block, is a secluded campground situated within Dirk Hartog Island National Park. Accessible exclusively by four-wheel drive, it offers a true wilderness experience with no facilities, encouraging campers to be entirely self-sufficient. The area is renowned for its excellent fishing opportunities, particularly along the rugged western coastline. Visitors can enjoy activities such as snorkeling, diving, and beach walks. To preserve the island's unique environment, campfires are prohibited, and campers are advised to bring sufficient drinking water for their stay. Bookings are required and can be made through the Dirk Hartog Island Eco Lodge.
