Walls of Jerusalem

Walls of Jerusalem National Park, located in Tasmania's Central Highlands, is a remote alpine wilderness renowned for its labyrinth of highland lakes, craggy mountains, and ancient pencil pine forests. As part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, the park features dolerite peaks, moraines, and tarns sculpted by ancient glaciers. Accessible only on foot, it offers a range of walking tracks, including the Central Walls Circuit, a flexible 23 km loop that showcases the park's stunning landscapes. Visitors should be well-prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions and self-sufficient, as facilities are limited.
