
Wallace Rockhole, a Western Arrarnta community, is nestled 120 km west of Alice Springs in the Western MacDonnell Ranges. Established in the early 1970s by the Abbott family as an outstation of the Hermannsburg Mission, it has a population of 67 residents. The community offers a range of services, including a school, store, fuel service, and a campground with full amenities. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of ancient rock carvings, experience bush tucker and bush medicine, and explore breathtaking scenery along with native animals. The MacDonnell Regional Council provides essential services such as cemetery maintenance, rubbish collection, and internal roads maintenance.
