Wadderin Sanctuary, located approximately 290 km east of Perth in Western Australia's eastern wheatbelt, is a 427-hectare nature conservation project dedicated to preserving native wildlife. Established in 2008, the sanctuary is enclosed by a fox- and cat-proof fence, facilitating the reintroduction of species that were once uncommon or locally extinct in the region. Managed by a local community group, Wadderin Sanctuary is among the few Australian sanctuaries operated by local communities. The sanctuary is home to various native species, including the red-tailed phascogale, woylie, and banded hare-wallaby.
