Toolbrunup Peak, standing at 1,052 meters, is the second-highest summit in Western Australia's Stirling Range National Park. This challenging 4-kilometer return hike requires a good degree of fitness and agility, taking approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete. The trail begins at the parking area, traversing through woodland and alongside a creek, progressively becoming steeper. Beyond the woodland, the path ascends over large boulders, loose rocks, and steep scree, leading to a saddle near the top of the southwest buttress. From here, a short, steep scramble reaches the summit, offering uninterrupted panoramic views in all directions. During spring, hikers are rewarded with beautiful mountain bells and southern cross flowers on the upper slopes. It's recommended to follow the marker posts and avoid straying onto side tracks.
