The Spectacles

The Spectacles, located in the City of Kwinana, Western Australia, is a unique suburb renowned for its expansive wetland reserve, The Spectacles Wetlands. This 3.7-square-kilometer area, part of Beeliar Regional Park, features two interconnected lakes that, from an aerial view, resemble a pair of spectacles. The wetlands are rich in biodiversity, offering walking trails, cycle paths, boardwalks, and bird hides for observing native species like the rufous night heron. Surrounding the wetlands is degraded native bushland, with a small residential area situated in the southeastern corner.
