The Pines community Hall

The Pines Community Hall, located at 3 Ti-Tree Road, serves as a vibrant hub for residents and visitors in The Pines, South Australia. This well-appointed facility features a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, a pool table, darts, and a large-screen TV. Open each Friday evening for "Happy Hour," it offers a welcoming space for socializing. The hall hosts various social activities, including weekly darts and eight-ball competitions, holiday weekend events, and fishing competitions. The local community committee has accomplished many improvements to the township through fundraising and government grants. Recently, the boat trailer car park has been upgraded, and a foreshore seating area and beach access have been installed. Boats can be launched most of the day with a tractor and, on high tide, with a car or four-wheel drive. The Pines is one of only a few north-facing beach towns in South Australia, allowing for more fishing days to be enjoyed. The community hall is located between stairway access 4 and 5, so within a couple of minutes, you can be walking on the sandy beach. Stairway access 5 takes you onto Couch Beach. King George Whiting are plentiful in these waters and can be caught from shore without a boat.
