Balancing Rock, a remarkable granite boulder, precariously rests on a 300-millimetre point among other rock formations in the Glen Innes District. Located 12 kilometres south of Glen Innes on the New England Highway, this unique formation is visible from a rest area marked with a Balancing Rock sign. While situated on private property, visitors can also explore the nearby Stonehenge Recreational Reserve, offering picnic spots and opportunities to wander among magnificent granite rocks. Travelers heading north from Guyra should look to the right approximately 15 kilometres from Glen Innes; those traveling south should look to the left half a kilometre after passing the Stonehenge Recreational Reserve.
