Once a significant ceremonial and gathering place for the Gamilaroi People, the area features over 240 axe-grinding grooves, a corroboree ground, a bora ring, carved and scarred trees, and two Aboriginal cemeteries. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, birdwatching, and walking along the Yana-y Warruwi track through cypress pine and silver leaf ironbark woodlands. The area also offers educational programs on Gamilaroi language, history, and culture.
