Operated by the Mindarie Regional Council (MRC), it processes approximately 4,000 tonnes of household waste weekly from seven local government authorities, representing nearly 800,000 residents. The 250-hectare facility includes a Class 2 Waste Disposal landfill, recycling centre, transfer station, and a reuse shop. The landfill is projected to reach capacity in the 2028/29 financial year, after which the site will undergo rehabilitation and revegetation. The recycling centre and transfer station will continue operations beyond the landfill's closure.
