TAFE Queensland's Thursday Island campus, located at 19 Aplin Road, offers a diverse range of programs tailored to the local community, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care, health support, marine studies, business, hospitality, first aid, sport and recreation, accounting, early childhood education and care, and leadership and management. The campus features modern facilities such as an engineering workshop, maritime training centre, woodworking workshop, cultural arts studio, commercial kitchen, dining room, computer lab, conference boardroom, and an undercover amphitheatre. A notable addition is the Ceferino (Nino) Sabatino Memorial Art Studio, established in 2019 to honor the creative legacy of former student and teacher Nino Sabatino. The campus is currently undergoing a $3.5 million upgrade to create a state-of-the-art health training space, scheduled for completion in mid-2025, which will support over 350 students by 2026-27.
