The Strathalbyn Agricultural Show, established in 1856, is a cherished annual event held every October long weekend at the Strathalbyn Showgrounds on Ashbourne Road. The show features a diverse range of attractions, including livestock displays with cattle, sheep, alpacas, and chickens, as well as competitions in cut flowers, cookery, needlework, floral art, craft, photography, fruit, vegetables, eggs, grains, produce, and preserves. Visitors can enjoy a variety of food stalls, show bags, market stalls, exhibitions, entertainment, and children's activities, making it a family-friendly occasion. The 2025 show is scheduled for October 6.
