Stanley Town Hall

Stanley Town Hall, located at 10 Church Street in Stanley, Tasmania, is a historic venue that opened in 1911. Designed by architect Alexander North, a pioneer of concrete construction in Tasmania, the building features a distinctive Federation style with horizontal concrete pours. The main auditorium, renovated in the 1930s Art Deco style, offers seating for 220 and is equipped with modern audio-visual equipment, a commercial kitchen, and dressing rooms for performers. The upstairs gallery provides a boardroom setting for 30-50 people, complete with meeting room audio-visual equipment and a kitchenette. The hall is listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Register, reflecting its significance to the community's sense of place. It serves as a versatile venue suitable for events of any size, including weddings, family reunions, and group retreats.
