Approximately 81 km north-east of Scottsdale, it encompasses a diverse landscape with a population of around 30 residents. The area is characterized by its proximity to Bass Strait, with the waters of Ringarooma Bay forming most of the western boundary, and the Great Musselroe River delineating much of the eastern boundary. The region is accessible via Route C844 (Cape Portland Road), which traverses from south to north.
