Ryan Gibson, it would appear you're a new member (if a member at all) to the club and have been brain washed by the current committee. Just a quick note, first committee in the history of the club, to have the club closed. And nil evidence of any pro-active goals to re-open the club. Clear reflection of lack of knowledge and arrogance. Ryan Gibson, you are nothing but a keyboard warrior. You have a current President who was kicked out of Jarrahdale Sporting Shooters Club. We all wonder why this has happened. Also in the latest President's report he refers to the club as PBPSBS were it should have read Port Bouvard Pistol & Small Bore Rifle Club PBPSBRC ????? Is he trying to be an Aussie Trump by signing the letter off with "Let's make this club great again". Are you admitting the new committee have dropped the ball and out of your depth. You also have a committee member who's only reason to join a pistol club and get a handgun was for protection. He said, "I need a gun to protect myself when my son gets released from jail". You have other committee members who have anger issues and should be re-accessed if they are mentally stable to hold a firearm license. If the previous committee were still managing this club on behalf of the members, the club would not be closed. Has any of the members challenged the committee and ask why they have expelled two of the top shooters at the club ? This was the best club in Western Australia until they were expelled. Challenge the committee and ask, as they are keeping it all very quiet and if you ask, they threaten to suspend or expel you. These people were an asset to the club and since the way the current committee have expelled them, the club has deteriorated and shut down for over six months now. Cant see the club being open before Christmas 2025. The range compliance committee is being run / managed by person/s with very minimal experience in the world of firearm clubs / compliance or more the point of what to do. I have spoken to a number of current members and they all say "They have no idea what they are doing, and will send the club broke". Once the best club in Western Australia, now "CLOSED" You the committee need to reflect upon what you have done and take ownership of all your actions. The committee actions are not in the best interest of the club or the members, it is personal and extremely self serving. Please don't buy into the narrative they are selling you. Members have been threated with suspension for asking questions of the current committee..... Also, it is about time the club members ask where all their money is being spent and the committee members open the books in transparency and honesty. The current committee have also changed the SSAA range rules to suit themselves. This breaches the rules and guidelines and most of all range safety. When qualified range officers have challenged this change, the committee managed this by standing them down from being a range officer. Committee told the questioning range officer/s if you don’t comply with our illegal rule change, then you will no longer be a range officer. I am sure the governing body SSAA would appreciate hearing about this. So, don’t question the current committee on anything and I mean anything or you will be stood down, suspended or maybe expelled.
