
Point Pearce, located on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula, is a small community with a rich history. Established in 1868 as a mission station for Aboriginal people, it became an Aboriginal reserve in 1915 and was transferred to the Point Pearce Community Council in 1972. The town covers an area of 85.19 km² and has a population of 147 residents. The community is served by the Point Pearce Community Postal Agency, operating Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm. The area is also home to the Central Yorke School's Point Pearce Campus, catering to Aboriginal children from birth to Year 2. The campus is situated in the northwest corner of the Point Pearce Community and maintains a strong connection with the local community.
