Penneshaw Beach, also known as Hog Bay, is a 600-meter stretch of sand facing northeast on Kangaroo Island. The beach features a reserve and low foredune along its length, with picnic facilities and toilets at the western end, and a monument to French explorers at the eastern end. A road runs parallel to the beach, offering convenient access and parking. Historically, the area was named Hog Bay after pigs were released here by French Commander Nicholas Baudin. Today, it serves as a popular spot for swimming and picnicking, making it an ideal family destination.
