The area is a haven for wildlife, including nine threatened bird species and the rare dwarf galaxias fish. Visitors can enjoy activities such as camping, fishing, and four-wheel driving. Camping sites are available at Blackmans Lagoon, South Croppies, Waterhouse Point, and Ransons Beach, all requiring self-sufficiency. Dogs on leads are permitted, and campfires are allowed in designated areas.
