
Established in 1953, the Oakbank/Balhannah Country Fire Service (CFS) station is located at 121 Onkaparinga Valley Road, Balhannah, South Australia. Serving the Onkaparinga Group within Region 1, this station operates 24/7, ensuring prompt response to emergencies. The station is equipped with three vehicles: - Balhannah 14: A 4WD, 1000L General Purpose Appliance (Mitsubishi Canter FG649) with a water capacity of 800 litres and foam capacity of 20 litres. - Balhannah 34: A 4WD, 3000L General Purpose Appliance (Isuzu FTS750 Crew) with a water capacity of 3000 litres and foam capacity of 20 litres. - Balhannah 34P: A 4WD, 3000L Light Pumper (Isuzu FTS750 Crew) with a water capacity of 3000 litres and foam capacity of 40 litres. The station's response area includes agricultural crops, plantation forests, grasslands, hills and mountains, orchards/viticulture, and general rural environments. For those interested in joining, training sessions are held every Monday at 7:30 pm, excluding public holidays.
