Located approximately 25 kilometers from Orange in Central West New South Wales, Cadia is one of Australia's largest gold mining operations. The site comprises the Cadia East underground mine, which commenced commercial production in January 2013, and the Ridgeway underground mine, currently in care and maintenance. Cadia produces gold doré bars and gold-rich copper concentrates, with the concentrates piped to a dewatering plant at nearby Blayney and sent by rail to Port Kembla for export. In March 2022, the Molybdenum Plant was commissioned, expected to deliver an additional revenue stream in the form of molybdenum concentrate.
