Since its redevelopment and reopening in August 2016, it has become a favored spot for locals and visitors alike. The park features a green proscenium stage—the largest of its kind in Australia—set amidst lush tropical plantings, vine-covered pergolas, and an open-air plaza, creating an inviting atmosphere for both relaxation and entertainment. It hosts a diverse range of events, including ballet, contemporary music, new circus performances, and Christmas pantomimes.
